Marshmallows

I recently finished my third Seashore Cowl. The previous versions I gave away (or they were claimed by my mother and sister), but I still wanted one for me. The marshmallow pink/purple colors in Kidsilk Haze and Tosh Merino Light are not what I usually wear but I wanted to knit them when I saw them together. The more obvious choice would have been grey or some dark purple or red color, but I tend to wear grey and black every day so a little purple fluff won't hurt :)

I'm currently working on another bit marshmallow-y project, a white merino alpaca silk cardigan. The pattern is Amy Christoff's lovely Pomme de Pin. Only the sleeves and collar are missing!

New shawl patterns for winter

The blog has been on a hiatus but here are some of my recent patterns that I have published during the summer and fall. I'm especially happy about Light in Shadows shawl, which is my current favorite knitwear. Check the pattern links for yarn, needle and other pattern information.

The pattern includes two versions, solid and striped. Perfect for us who like our shawls easily worn as a scarf around the neck too!

A feminine narrow crescent shaped shawl worked with fluffy, soft mohair and silk blend and a single plied merino yarn.

A reversible triangle shaped shawl. Notes for changing size included in the pattern!

This shawl is reversible, with a sail-like lace pattern on one side and a rib-like lace pattern on the other.
